The Flipkart Big Bang Diwali Sale 2026 opens on 28 October 2026. Digit reported on 26 October that Flipkart's sale page shows that date, along with an SBI card offer and teased deals on the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S25. Flipkart hasn't announced when it closes.
Expected start and end dates
The start date is settled: 28 October. The end date is an open question. Diwali is on Sunday, 8 November, and the sale needs to close early enough for orders to arrive. Treat any end date you see online as a guess until it shows up in the Flipkart app.
The sale also runs in daily time slots. Digit lists "Festive Bestsellers" from 5 PM to 7 PM, "Big Bang Hours" from 7 PM to 9 PM, "Price Crash" from 7 PM to 8 PM and "Patakha Deals" from 8 PM to 10 PM, with "Tick Tock Deals" every hour. If the price looks high in the morning, check again in the evening.
Early access for Flipkart Plus and Black members
Flipkart hasn't confirmed early access for this sale. For Big Billion Days 2026, Plus and Black members got in at midnight on 8 October, a full day before everyone else. The Big Bang Diwali Sale is Flipkart's last big festive sale before Diwali. It follows Big Billion Days and focuses on gifting, home décor, phones and electronics. Big Billion Days is still Flipkart's biggest sale of the year. The Diwali sale is smaller, but it often brings a fresh bank offer and a second round of price cuts.
So which sale is bigger? Big Billion Days, with a longer run and more launches. The Diwali sale is the catch-up round, useful if your card missed the earlier bank offer. This year, its headline offer is on SBI cards.

Bank instant discounts on Flipkart carry a maximum amount per card. Once the SBI cap appears on the offer page, do the math. A 10% discount with a low cap is worth far less on an ₹80,000 phone than on a ₹15,000 one.
Flipkart Axis Bank card, UPI, and SuperMoney offers
Flipkart's two co-branded cards pay cashback on every Flipkart order, sale or no sale. The Flipkart SBI Card gives 5% back on Flipkart, capped at ₹4,000 of cashback per quarter, which you reach after about ₹80,000 of Flipkart spending. For iPhones, the effective price matters more than the banner price. Most of the real saving comes from the bank discount and the exchange bonus. If your final checkout amount is above the Big Billion Days price in the table, wait or skip.

Laptops have the clearest teased prices so far. According to Digit, the Acer Aspire is teased under ₹40,000 and the Asus ExpertBook P1 (Core 3) under ₹50,000. The Samsung Book 4 series, Acer Swift AI PC and Motobook 60 (Core 5) are teased under ₹60,000. The HP 15 (Core 5) and Asus ExpertBook P3 are under ₹70,000, and the Lenovo IdeaPad AI PC under ₹90,000. The Moto Pad 60 Neo and Lenovo Idea Tab Plus lead the tablet list.
"Under ₹60,000" often means one base variant. Check the RAM, storage and processor on the exact listing before you add it to your cart.
TVs and large appliances
Flipkart hasn't published TV or appliance prices yet. For a TV, check the panel type and installation charge. For a fridge or washing machine, check the delivery slot first; late bookings often arrive after Diwali. Fashion and décor carry most of the "up to 80% off" banners. Those discounts are measured from the list price, which can be high. Compare the sale price with last month's price before buying. For gifts, filter by "Delivery by" date first, then by price.

What if the SBI cap is low?
